UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children’s rights, to help meet their basic needs, and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential. MUN programs usually include in their programs debate issues related to UNICEF’s core mandate. We’ve shared resources here to help link you to campaigns and to show you ways to support UNICEF initiatives through your MUN activity. Our UNICEF page has compiled resources and links to UNICEF initiatives that can help you bring service and action to your club or conference.
The World’s Largest Lesson’s mission is to make sure that children and young people everywhere know about the Global Goals and are motivated to take action on them. WLL has some great resources on their website. Many are geared to younger children, and these could be used as activities or campaigns that MUN delegates could share with younger students. For older students and delegates, we have World’s Largest Lesson material on our SDG pages and in our MUN Impact Resource Library. Sign up here for WLL updates and to keep abreast of what is happening in the community.
The United Nations Foundation is a United States non-profit that works to support the work of the United Nations. Some UN Foundation campaigns are well-suited as action campaigns within MUN clubs and conferences. The Foundation’s Shot@Life campaign aims to provide vaccines for preventable diseases, an SDG 3 target.
